Cookie choices

The short version

sola.earth does not set cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, so there is no banner and no preference for you to set.

That is not a promise about the future. It is what the site does right now, and if it ever changes this page changes with it.

Why there is no cookie banner

A banner exists to ask permission for tracking. We are not doing any, so asking would be theatre. We would rather tell you plainly than make you dismiss a box.

The fonts on this site are served from sola.earth itself rather than a font network, so loading a page tells nobody else that you were here.

What can still set one

If you press play on a video, YouTube's player loads and may set its own storage. We use the no cookie version of the player, which holds that off until you press play.

The music page embeds Sola's catalogue from Komi, and the same applies once it loads.

Those are the only two, and both are visible on the page rather than running in the background.

Controlling them anyway

Your browser can block or clear storage for any site, including the embedded players, from its own privacy settings. Nothing on sola.earth needs storage to work, so blocking it will not break the site.
